“The Petitions Committee (the group of MPs who oversee the petitions system) met today and agreed to schedule a debate on your petition.

The debate will take place on Monday 15 March at 4.30pm in Westminster Hall, which is the second debating chamber of the House of Commons.

Westminster Hall has been temporarily relocated to a different room to ensure debates can take place in a Covid-secure way and with virtual participation. Mike Hill MP, a member of the Petitions Committee, will open the debate, followed by speeches from other MPs including front bench speakers from Opposition parties and then a Minister.

Because of Covid restrictions, it is not possible to attend the debate in Westminster, but the debate will be broadcast online and you can watch it by visiting Parliamentlive.tv: http://www.parliamentlive.tv/Commons“
