Goodbye Amazon!

It’s been nice knowing you… Or has it?

Shopping on Amazon felt so convenient, refunds were made easily, recently with the help of AI. You’ve always been so kind… Or have you?

You force customers to make an account before purchasing anything. Recently, you’ve forced me to confirm my phone just to login (to make me trackable?).

In recent years, you’ve been pushing for kindle books where details of a customer’s reading history are easily tracked. I can’t delete my own books from Amazon connected KDP. You are possessing my own work. You made me give away my passport details and my face image only to access my account on KDP, and you admit that this data is being shared with third parties. This was the last straw.

Together with Big Tech, you support and drive forward the agenda where digital control grids, surveillance cameras, AI systems and data centres are being implemented in order to lock us all down in a digital prison. Tax avoidance is another thing you do: According to ethical consumer £575,000,000 were lost to the UK public. And your technology is linked to Israeli military…

You have contributed towards thousands of small businesses having to shut down. You are complicit in killing the high street. Your workers toil in inhumane circumstances… We used to print TWR books on Amazon. A few years ago, for similar reasons, we changed to an independent printing company that produces top-quality books.

Yes, you are kind. But just on the surface.

In reality, you are sly, sneaky and corrupt.

After being a customer for 13 years, it’s time to say goodbye. Or should I rather say, good riddance?
