- The apparitions occurred at a Coptic Orthodox church in Zeitoun, Cairo.
- The apparitions lasted from a few minutes up to a few hours.
- They were witnessed by millions: among the witnesses were Orthodox, Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Jews and non-religious people from all walks of life, Egyptians and foreigners.
- At the start of the apparitions, two Muslims noticed a woman on the top of the church and thought she was about to commit suicide. One of them yelled up to her: “Lady, don’t jump!”
- Many ill people were cured and large numbers of people with no faith converted.
- Sometimes she also appeared with baby Jesus, the 12-year old Jesus and Joseph, her spouse.
- In an investigation to prove the authenticity of the apparitions, the authorities investigated a fifteen-mile radius for electronic devices and cut all power off in the area to create a blackout, yet Mary continued to appear.
- Father Dr. Henry Ayrout, rector of the Catholic College in Cairo said about Mary: “… we are all Her children and She loves us all equally. Her apparitions at the Zeitoun Coptic Orthodox Church confirmed this notion.”
- Zeitoun is one of the locations where the Holy Family supposedly stopped on their flight to Egypt.
