Our Body Is the Temple of the Holy Spirit – Nobody Gets to Dictate What We Put Into Our Body

“No earthly king, or president, or public health official, or billionaire technocrat gets to dictate what we must put into our bodies, into these temples of the Holy Spirit… because that’s between us and God.”

Fr. Ed Meeks is a Catholic priest of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, and the founding pastor of Christ the King Church in Towson, Maryland.

Fr. Edward Meeks was raised Catholic, and even went to seminary, but in the confusion going on in the Church in the 1960’s and 70’s, he ended up leaving to go first to the Assemblies of God, and then the Charismatic Episcopal Church, in which he became a priest. When the Personal Ordinariate was announced by Pope Benedict XVI, he felt a strong conviction to return to the Catholic Church, and did so; and his entire congregation entered the Catholic Church with him!

Prior to becoming a priest, Fr. Ed had a career in Human Resources in several Baltimore area firms. He and his wife, Jan, were married in 1970. They have four grown children and seventeen grandchildren.
