Roadblocks – What Are They Really There For?

As Together’s Alan Miller explains this is Hackney Council where councillors’ stated aim is to block 75%(!) of roads… BUT with 160 councils committing to organisations like UK100 to “beat” Govt Net Zero targets without asking voters, there are challenges all over UK.

If you live, work, visit or have an interest in Hackney, have your say: https://consultation.hackney.gov.uk/streetscene/hackney-downs-ltn/

Also write to your MP and councillors – this website makes it easy to do both: https://www.writetothem.com/

Our report, “Clean” Air, Dirty Money, Filthy Politics explains how organisations like UK 100 are extremely well-funded by a few “green” billionaires, to target local politics: https://togetherdeclaration.org/report

Together by contrast is funded by our thousands of members, ordinary people from all over the UK – join us at https://togetherdeclaration.org/join/

Needless to say, Hackney Council is signed up with UK 100.

It’s “Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Environment and Transport”, Mete Coban, reportedly racked up 40,000 air miles in a year – after “promising to be at the forefront of the fight against climate change”(!)

So much of what is happening in the name of Net Zero stinks.

No matter where you are in the UK, write to your MP and demand transparency on the funding and influence behind Net Zero policies – here’s how: https://togetherdeclaration.org/campaigns/netzeropledge/
